Information on Processing of Personal Data

 

Legal basis

Regulation (Eu) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (Journal of EU Law .U.UE.L.2016.119.1 dated 2016.05.04).

 

1. Data Administrator

2. Change of decision regarding the processing of personal data
You have the right to withdrawn your acceptance of personal data processing at any time. Expressing consent to the processing of personal data is voluntary, however, in the case of conference registration, the data are necessary for the recruitment process. Withdrawal of the data before the conference will result in the inability to participate in it.

3. Purpose and legal basis for the processing of personal data
Your personal data is processed for the following purposes:
a) Performing activities related to the recruitment of conference participants
b) Collecting and processing information on abstracts submitted by the conference participants
c) Collecting information on the amount of the conference fee due by each participant and the payment processing status
d) Informing participants about critical changes in the conference program via email.
 
4. Type of data processed
The following data are processed:
a) necessary to identify the participant of the conference and to issue an invoice for the conference fee (name, surname, name of the employing institution and its address, tax ID). Participants are not required to provide their home address.
b) necessary to contact the participant (e-mail address)

5. Recipients of data
Personal data will not be transferred to other entities. The organizers, however, reserve the right to publish certain data (name, surname, name of the employing institution, and e-mail address) in the conference materials, available on the website gsn.io.gliwice.pl and distributed in a paper version among conference participants.

6. Data processing period
The Data is kept for the time necessary to conduct the conference recruitment process, and later for historical purposes, as a proof of participation in the conference. The User can always request that the Data Administrator suspends or removes the data.

7. The rights of Users
Each user has the right to:
a) Delete Data: You can delete all or some of your personal data (e.g., if it is no longer necessary for the conference registration).
b) Change or Correct Data: You can edit some of your personal data through your account. You can also ask us to change, update or fix your data in certain cases, particularly if it’s inaccurate.
c) Right to Access and/or Take Your Data: You can for a copy of your personal data you provided

8. Changes to this privacy policy
The Data Administrator reserves the right to make changes to this privacy policy at any time by giving notice to its Users on this page. It is strongly recommended to check this page often, referring to the date of the last modification listed at the top. If a User objects to any of the changes to the Policy, the User can request that the Data Administrator to remove the Personal Data.
