Organized annually since 2014, the Śląskie Spotkania Naukowe are interdisciplinary workshops bringing together Silesian research teams working broadly in the bio- domain. The goal is to foster personal connections among Silesian scientists and share current research topics, methods and equipment available in Silesian laboratories — with a view to establishing new collaborations.

The programme consists of presentations by research group leaders and shorter talks by team members on ongoing work, conducted in Polish in the form of oral presentations (7–15 minutes). Participation is limited to ~50–60 people on a first-come, first-served basis.
